Enbridge AGT R-1 Lateral - Class 3
Smartpipe rehabilitation project for unpiggable pipeline subject to assessment requirements. A one mile pull in a densely populated neighborhood, waterway, railway and environmental impact.
The Challenge: Working within a right of way along an Amtrak railway with low impact to the neighborhood and near by stream.
Enbridge ETNG Rura Lateral - Class 3
Smartpipe rehabilitation project for a pre-1965 Sheet & Tube Pipeline.
The Challenge: A 65 year old, non piggable natural gas pipeline located within a Class 3 residential area required rehabilitation. The operator needed a solution that could restore the aging pipeline while minimizing excavation, right of way disturbance and disruption to the surrounding community.
Nicor Gas Illinois River Crossing
Using reinforced composite pipeline system to overcome replacement across navigable waterway and environmental sensitive wetlands.
The Challenge: Nicor Gas identified two 81 year old, non piggable natural gas pipelines requiring rehabilitation beneath the Illinois River. The river crossing created a significant access and construction challenge, requiring a solution that could restore the aging infrastructure while minimizing excavation, environmental disturbance and impact to the surrounding waterway.
OXY THUMS Crude Oil and Produced Water
Rehabilitation Beneath Active Rail Infrastructure
The Challenge: Within an extremely congested right of way at one of the largest ports in the United States, the operator needed to return both a crude oil pipeline and a produced water pipeline to service. The existing pipelines ran beneath multiple active railroad tracks, creating significant access and construction constraints and making conventional excavation highly disruptive to ongoing port and rail operations.
